Eemnes
The municipality has 8.879 inhabitants (December 31, 2008, Source: Statistics Netherlands) and has an area of 33.67 km ² (of which 2.54 km ² is water). Within the village are no other cores. The sufffix -nes is derived from a Dutch word for historical peninsula.
Eemnes traditionally consist of two parts: Eemnes-Interior, which mainly consists of a number of farms along the Wakkerendijk, and a little further north Eemnes-out, where several large housing developments are put down.

Both districts have separate copyright laws. Both cores have a historic Reformed Church. In the church of Eemnes Outside the architecture of the tower is derived from the Utrecht Dom tower. OIn outside-Eemnes are also a number of old houses from the former village, and a little old town hall now in use as a restaurant.
Grouping Blaricum, Laren and Eemnes
On January 1, 2008, the BEL Combination started. A unique collaboration of three municipalities that make up a civil service elements: Blaricum, Laren and Eemnes.
Sport Eemnes
Besides Tennis the main sportare Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton and Gymnastics.
