How the Grand Slam?

In 2009, Paula made the right steps, to have enough points in 2011 to play Grand Slam tournaments, see graph

To achieve this, Paula needed an average of  four semi-final of ITF tournaments in 2009. In 2010, Paula is still fully concentrate on school (VWO 5 at Comenius College Hilversum) and she can not play too many tournaments.

With her current ranking, Paulac can play, without qualification,  ITF3 tournaments. For the Grand Slams she will have to reach, in the period July 2010 to mid 2011, as average semi-finals of ITF2 tournaments or quarter finals of ITF1 tournaments. That means roughly a level increase in 2010 Paula semifinal ITF4 to semifinals ITF3. A realistic goal, a number of her opponents are already so far.

This is a guidance document that need to be adapted constantly, but it is nevertheless important as a basis for tournament selection.
