 When Paula was 10 years the KNLTB (Dutch Tennis assocation) organized one of her better ideas. Like Idols (Music Talent contest) for each age group a national competition was organized, through many rounds leading to the final. This event was named after the prize presenter and former top 10 player of the ATP Sjenk Schalken. It involved lots of 15 minutes, with regular scoring. Paula won the first district finals against Carli Wischhoff and also the national finals against Myrthe van der Boom and as a prize, she played against Sjeng Schalken as yoy can see in the clip. |
