The Olympic Network Middle Netherlands (ONMN) / Association Sports Utrecht (VSU), encourages and supports the development of talented athletes in the province of Utrecht. Talented athletes can have their questions about their social, personal, medical and mental development.

They can also request a topsport pass and use the extensive educational and networking facilities. The province of Utrecht was created in line with the individual care of Utrecht Talents fund. From this fund talented athletes could apply for costs they have made for their sport.

What is the purpose?

The Utrecht Talent Fund was established with the aim to support talented athletes Utrecht financially with their sporting goals.

  Who is the Utrecht Talent Fund?

The talented athlete should be demonstrably linked to the province of Utrecht (housing, sports and going to school) and because of his or her performance in sports by the sports federation or by the Olympic Network Middle Netherlands to be considered as talented athlete . This talented athlete is in possession of an elite status.

Consideration

When a talented athlete using the Utrecht Talent Fund, the athlete is asked to supply pretty (duty free)  sports photos as return.

Also, the athlete within his congregation is requested for example for an opening, panel or clinic.

What costs are eligible for reimbursement?

• Travel and / or subsistence of an important sport tournament training camp or abroad (with declaration of the league)

• Accommodation of a training camp in the Netherlands (with declaration of the League)

• Medical examinations

• (Para) medical expenses not covered by the insurance paid as part of the sport. For example, treatment of injuries, testing, mental training (up to 4 times), nutrition (max. 4 times) shoes / pads advice, for advice and braces

The maximum request per athlete is € 500, - per year. If there are costs incurred by a talented athlete who is not mentioned, then this request  to must be submitted with a special motivation.
